The Scouting program is designed in such a way that parent volunteers generally advance with their son through the ranks. Therefore, we are always in need of new leadership as each year we loose parents that advance to the Boy Scout program.
Training & support is available for all. There are a number of Boy Scout of America designed training seminars provided by BSA. We also have experienced leaders in our pack which happily mentor other new leaders.

Committee Chairman
Appointed by the sponsoring organization
- Liaison between the Pack and the Charter Organization
- Lead monthly Committee Meetings.
- Assign Duties and Training Tasks and encourage 100% parent, Cub, and leader participation.
- Oversee, plan, and coordinate all Pack operations including new Den formation as needed.
- Complete Cub Scout Basic Training, Fast Start, Youth Protection, and other training as necessary.
Secretary
Appointed by the Committee Chair and affirmed by the sponsoring organization representative
- Record & Distribute Committee Meeting Minutes.
- Maintain up to date information on membership, leadership, and attendance.
- Handle misc. correspondence as requested.
- Complete Cub Scout Basic Training, Fast Start, Youth Protection, and other training as necessary.
Treasurer
Appointed by the Committee Chair and affirmed by the sponsoring organization representative
- Maintain Pack bank account and make bank deposits as needed.
- Approve budgeted expenses and bring non-budget expenses before committee for approval.
- Prepare and present monthly financial report at Committee Meetings.
- Keep detailed financial income and expense records to help in budget forecasting.
- Complete Cub Scout Basic Training, Fast Start, Youth Protection, and other training as necessary.
Membership Chair
Appointed by the Committee Chair and affirmed by the sponsoring organization representative
- Coordinate Pack Registration and Membership of scouts and Adult leadership.
- Work with Treasurer on tracking and collection of membership dues.
- Maintain proper records of all registrations and leadership training.
- Work with Committee Chair and/or Council on membership records as necessary.
- Complete Cub Scout Basic Training, Fast Start, Youth Protection, and other training as necessary.
Advancement Chair
Appointed by the Committee Chair and affirmed by the sponsoring organization representative
- Have a working knowledge of Cub Scout advancement plans.
- Collect Den advancement reports.
- Maintain up to date information on individual Cub advancement.
- Purchase necessary advancement awards from council office or Scout Store.
- Provide Cubmaster with advancement awards a minimum of one day prior to Pack meeting.
- Complete Cub Scout Basic Training, Fast Start, Youth Protection, and other training as necessary.
Fundraiser Chair / Popcorn Colonel
Appointed by the Committee Chair and affirmed by the sponsoring organization representative
- Determine Pack fundraising needs based on budget requirements.
- Lead and direct annual Popcorn Sale as the Popcorn Kernal.
- Lead and direct additional fundraising activites as needed.
- Maintain accurate sales and profit records and present report at Committee meetings.
- Route collected money to Pack treasurer.
- Complete Cub Scout Basic Training, Fast Start, Youth Protection, and other training as necessary.
Activities Chair
Appointed by the Committee Chair and affirmed by the sponsoring organization representative
- Coordinate Family activities for the Pack.
- Secure camping facilities for the pack to use 2 or 3 times per year
- Coordinate activities planned by pack through the district or council.
- Coordinate and maintain proper local tour permits for scheduled activities.
- Attend monthly Committee Meetings and present upcoming activity planning.
Cubmaster
Appointed by the Committee Chair and affirmed by the sponsoring organization representative
- Plan and help carry out the Cub Scout program including the Monthly Pack meeting.
- Work with the leadership team on program ideas, recruiting leaders, and establishing budget.
- Guide and support Den leaders and ensure they receive required training and access to resources.
- Serve as program adviser, recruiter, supervisor, director, planner, motivator, and coordinator.
- Complete Cub Scout Basic Training, Fast Start, Youth Protection, and other training as necessary.
- Attend monthly Committee Meeting, Pack Meetings and events, and Council events.
Assistant Cubmasters
Appointed by the Committee Chair and affirmed by the sponsoring organization representative
- Assist the Cubmaster and be ready to fill in for the Cubmaster as needed at Pack Meetings and events.
- Help plan and carry out the Cub Scout program including the Monthly Pack meeting.
- Work with boys, families and Cubmaster to ensure Pack meetings run smoothly.
- Complete Cub Scout Basic Training, Fast Start, Youth Protection, and other training as necessary.
- Attend monthly Committee Meeting, Pack Meetings and events, and Council events and encourage participation.
Den Leaders
Appointed by the Committee Chair and affirmed by the sponsoring organization representative
- Plan & lead Den meetings utilizing BSA resources, Asst Leaders, and keeping monthly theme.
- Provide a varied program which allows opportunity to work on advancement, use of imagination, and fun.
- Collect Den dues if needed and keep accurate records of dues and attendance.
- Represent the Packs purpose and maintain a good working relationship with leadership team.
- Keep families informed of Pack and Den events and encourage parent participation.
- Attend monthly Committee Meetings, Pack Meetings, and other Pack events and encourage Den participation.
- Complete Cub Scout Basic Training, Fast Start, Youth Protection, and other training as necessary.
Assistant Den Leaders
Appointed by the Committee Chair and affirmed by the sponsoring organization representative
- Assist the Den leader in carrying out Den meetings and Den activities.
- Attend monthly Den Leader Meetings, Pack Meetings, and other Pack events and encourage Den participation.
- Represent the Packs purpose and maintain a good working relationship with leadership team.
- Resume the Den Leader position if the Den Leader is unable to attend an event or Den meeting.
- Work with boys, families and Den Leader to ensure Den meetings run smoothly.
- Complete Cub Scout Basic Training, Fast Start, Youth Protection, and other training as necessary.
