The very first Rank your Scout earns is the Bobcat Badge. We typically have 3 Bobcat ceremonies a year, one at the October Pack meeting, one at the Blue and Gold for later joining scouts, and one at our graduation ceremony in May to welcome new Tigers (upcoming 1st graders).
The Bobcat Requirements are:
- Learn and say the Scout Oath, with help if needed.
- Learn and say the Scout Law, with help if needed.
- Show the Cub Scout Sign. Tell what it means.
- Show the Cub Scout Handshake. Tell what it means.
- Say the Cub Scout Motto. Tell what it means.
- Show the Cub Scout Salute. Tell what it means.
- With your parent or guardian, complete the excercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse: A Parent's Guide - Bobcat Requirements.
Please note that #7 HAS to be done at home. The pamphlet can be found at the front of every scout book, but is also included below as a downloadable file.
