Welcome to Pack 1 Chepachet's website. Celebrating its 61st year, Pack 1 serves the village of Chepachet which is located in the Town of Glocester. We are part of Narragansett Council's Northwest District and we are chartered by the Chepachet Union Church. Our home school is the West Glocester Elementary School but we accept boys from anywhere to join. Please explore and enjoy!

It's taken a few days to get settled in as Cub Master and to learn the program but here we are looking forward to the summer! We have four Pack meetings in the next two months and I look forward to getting to know all the boys a little better! We will be kicking the new summer program off at the July 4th parade. Water has been donated to us from Cumberland Farms and we are attempting to get ice donated as well. The state police will be coming in and teaching our boys about cyber safety and doing child ID kits. We will be taking part in a swim day to earn belt loops and Weblos pins and before we head back to school there is a build followed up with a roller skating/pizza event!
 I know many dens break for the summer and we might not all make it to every event but as a Pack I hope we will have enough boys to earn the National Summertime Award this year!

Thanks you to everyone for making this years Blue and Gold was a big success. Kudos to all the boys for all their hard work in earning their awards. Also, thanks to our leaders for guiding the boys through the advancement trail. Here is a run down of how many awards were earned by Pack 1:

Again, thanks to Chepachet Union Church, RHO Delta for a fabulous meal, Troop 44 for serving the meal and clean up,  Committee members and Leaders of the Pack, and especially the boys and their families.

Congrats to our top finishers in the 2014 Pinewood. In 1st place Nathan B., in 2nd place Christian K., in 3rd place Harrison T., and in 4th place Kyan L. Good luck at the regionals! The fan favorite was Ryan S. with his Minion Car. Thanks to all that helped and great job to all the boys.

Thanks to all who attended the Turkey In The Woods event this year. A great time was had by all.

Cub Scouting, a year-round family program designed for boys in the 1st through 5th grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, family understanding, character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Not to mention, boys LOVE it!

What a weekend we had at Battleship Cove! I wish everyone could have made it. The boys impressed me with some of their questions to a veteran who served on the USS Massachusetts, their ability to tie knots and I am relieved they all enjoyed playing saran wrap ball while we waited for chow!!! Although the racks were not as soft as our beds at home I am sure every boy is grateful that their parent took the time to bring them and they will not soon forget the memories they made exploring the different ships!
